Why T3...

My 15-year-old self had a conversation with my Mom… pre-text/Instagram days, lol…it went like this: 

“Jenn, I have a lot of shame, guilt and regrets in life. I hope and pray you never make the same choices or mistakes I have. I don’t ever want you to go through what I’ve been through!”  

My response: “ Wow! Ok…like what? What are you talking about? What mistakes?” 

She replied “I’m not going to tell you that…so you can try ‘em out or use that against me…no way! I just don’t want you to have those awful experiences.”

I said “Okay” feeling my face expressing my absolute confusion as to why she said anything  to me then in the first place and left the conversation questioning myself, why she would think that of me and what mistakes was she referring to. I was definitely feeling more lost than when she first started talking!

Over the next many years,  I learned that I sure did repeat quite a bit of her mistakes and poor choices…because I thought that was normal!! Can anyone relate??

I accepted Jesus as my Savior around 10 years old. By 12 I had checked out of church, wasn’t walking in faith. I did believe in God yet I treated Him more like vending machine…talked to Him to get something and ignored everything about God unless I wanted something.  By the time I graduated High School, I had broken 9 out of the 10 commandments…and not too long after that, I had broken all of them! Yep, certainly blazed my own trail of pain, regrets, hurts, bad habits, shame and guilt! What a nightmare!

In the midst of it all, at 23 years old, God still loved me and gave me a vision…after going through the things I had, the desire to walk alongside teens became imperative. I had no idea how God would work out all the disasters in my life yet He has and still is! His Word says so…Genesis 50:20 You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.  

God doesn’t waste anything…not in my life or yours!! It’s a promise!

T3 is about being honest, seeking truth of God and being transparent. God isn’t afraid of our anger, our thoughts, our questions or the conversations that need to be had. When we are willing to share and allow God the space to move in our lives, Powerful things happen! Miracles happen! There’s no conversation God cant handle…from embarrassing to awkward, funny to crazy or scary…He’s got this! I’m not afraid to say “I don’t know” to a question yet we will sure find the answers when we seek…It is written. Let’s seek Him together. You are not alone!!  

Jeremiah 29:13 And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. 
 

T3 is where we can go from No Jesus to Know Jesus!
